Margaret Thatcher knew how to promote herself, do you?

A milestone in British political history has come to pass today with the death of our first and only female former Prime Minister. In 1959 she was elected to her first political seat as the Conservative member of parliament for Finchley. 20 years later she was to become leader of the UK Government. Throughout her tenure she endured many ups and downs but remained committed to her core principals throughout the duration of her premiership which helped turn her into such an icon. She knew how she wanted to promote herself and did it in a very assured manner.

It says a lot about a person when they constantly strive for something better because they aren't happy to just settle for the status quo. The same can be said about business and even more so in times such as these when it's tougher than ever to be heard against the background noise of so much competition. To find your voice and make it heard can be incredibly difficult and many opt not to make that decision at all. Sadly in too many situations though, this can lead to the collapse of what would otherwise be considered a stable platform going forward. However, those who do take the plunge can often reap the rewards because if your voice is the one that is heard them that gives you the advantage.

Sticking to the core principals of a business is essential but every business must be willing to be flexible and be able to adapt to the changing market. Self promotion is a must and needn't be all that expensive if the right options are considered. Promotional pens for instance can be considered one of the best ROI advertising methods available. There's no need to have a complex marketing strategy in place with pens printed with your logo as they speak for themselves.
